News
Stand: 2025.05.05
On behalf of the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BASE), Info GmbH conducted an evaluation of the 3rd Repository Search Forum, which took place on 22 and 23 November 2024. The basis is a survey of the participants who took part either on-site in Würzburg or digitally.
The results of the evaluation are predominantly positive:
- High level of satisfaction: Two thirds of those surveyed rated the event as “good” or “very good”, and 91 per cent considered their expectations to be (more or less) fulfilled.
- Content-related strengths: The technical depth and concrete information, the quality of the contributions as well as the opportunities for exchange and networking were particularly praised.
- Achievement of objectives confirmed: From the participants’ point of view, the forum fulfils its essential objectives such as knowledge transfer, building trust and enabling the expression of opinions. The organisation, moderation and the information provided were also rated very positively. Almost all those surveyed (97%) would like to attend further events.
- Potential for improvement: Points of criticism mainly concerned aspects such as technical disruptions during the hybrid implementation. The report also points out that the dialogue character and the perception as co-creators in the procedure could be further strengthened.
The evaluation provides valuable insights for the further development of the Repository Search Forum as a central participation format in the site selection procedure.
